I hadn't seen her since she left France for Australia 8 months ago. Here we are in Melbourne, the first city of our trip. The day after, we rented a car, and the road trip could begin ! <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_004.jpg" /><br /> We were joined in our adventure by my old friend Christophe, who's now living in Canada. He came to Melbourne at the same time as me for the trip :) Here on the harbour, "under mushrooms" ... <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_007.jpg" /><br /> The first place we stopped, day 1 of the road trip : Phillip Island. After going a little bit off the hiking trails, we found this amazing place. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_008.jpg" /><br /> Portrait of my sister on Phillip Island. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_010.jpg" /><br /> Venus Bay. We decided to put the tent there for the night and sleep at the sound of the waves. Even if it actually was cold and noisy, but what a great place to be ! ;) <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_043.jpg" /><br /> My sister waking up :) <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_027.jpg" /><br /> We stopped at a place called "red point" and it deserves its name. This place was unreal, and we saw just in front of us a couple of dolphins and whales swimming. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_012.jpg" /><br /> Christophe playing parrots. Despise the fact that these birds were waking us up every morning by singing very, very loud, I loved them. Very sociable, cute and funny... as long as we had bread to give them. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_034.jpg" /><br /> My sister in front of a crazy tree ! <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_056.jpg" /><br /> Some cool kangaroos. Most of them are scared of humans. But some just don't care at all :) <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_046.jpg" /><br /> One night, we didn't know where to stop, and we saw a sign saying "Mystery Bay" ! What better reason to go there ?! <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_054.jpg" /><br /> The bay at Bendalong. This picture summarizes the weather of this trip : unstable, threatening, and giving the paradisiac landscapes a very tormented feeling ;) <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <img src="journal/2009-10-12_a-spring-in-australia/australia_033.jpg" /><br /> A place called Camel Rock.
